Groundwork UX provides user experience guidance at both the holistic and micro/feature level for Cardsmith, a brainstorming and collaboration app. Initial engagements in GroundWork UX’s ongoing relationship with Cardsmith included bringing a user-centered design methodology to the revision of sign-up and on-boarding workflows aimed at increasing new user conversions.

For Cardsmith, GroundWork UX brought to bear its speciality in guiding and documenting product development discussions at all stages of the process, enabling stakeholders to visualize the product’s user experience as clearly as possible.

Documenting UX decisions in ways that speak to all involved departments from the start paves the way for quick approvals and effective transitions between teams later on, ultimately allowing all parties to sign off on a thoroughly-understood, cohesive product vision. With Cardsmith, that meant producing documentation that spoke to the internal team and to third-party developer Olio Apps.
